About Matthew
I currently live in Oshawa, Ontario and have for the past 4 years. I’m happily married and the father of two wonderful children, aged 5 and 2.
I am also a libertarian, a member of the Libertarian Party of Canada, and on the Executive Committee of the Ontario Libertarian Party. Although I only discovered the Libertarian party, and the idea of libertarianism, a couple years ago, I have been a libertarian my entire (politically aware) life, and I don’t think I’m the only one out there. That’s why I’ve made it my personal mission to try and expose as many people as possible to libertarian thoughts and ideas. Not only do I believe that is the way to creating the best province, country and world for my children to grow up in, I believe that politics in this country desperately needs a counter balance to the current establishment and its “more more more” mantra. More taxes, more spending, more control over the citizens.
So that’s what you’re going to see on this site – my personal reactions to current events in Ontario and Canada, and occasionally from around the world. Nothing that I write on this site is edited or approved by either the LPC or the OLP, nor should it be considered the official position of those parties, unless I am specifically quoting their platform. In addition to politics, I will occasionally talk about my other passions – the Maple Leafs, and programming.
